AVAC will once again be providing a Christmas meal and gifts to every member of the household to all our Food Bank participants. We anticipate over 400 families will receive assistance this year and we need your help!
Here are 3 ways you can help us to help others:
- Contribute a new, unwrapped toy or other item that can be used for a gift. Since we provide gifts for every member of the household , we are in need of items for children, teens, adults and seniors.
- Contribute holiday food items that can be included in the Christmas food basket. Ideas include: stuffing mix, cranberries, gravy, canned sweet potatoes, etc.
- Make a monetary gift to AVAC with “Christmas Witness” on the memo line.
We would also love to have your help in distributing the food baskets and gifts. On Monday, December 17th we will be seeting up the distribution at Trinity United Methodist Church on 10th Avenue in Brackenridge. Volunteers are needed to pack food bags and organize the gifts. Set-up time is from 9:30 am-2:30 pm. Distribution volunteers are needed too! Distribution will be on Tuesday, December 18th at Trinity United Methodist with the same volunteer hours available. If you would like to help for any portion of the times needed please contact the AVAC office at 724-226-0606 ext. 10 or email us from the contact page.

Thank you to Rob Cousins of Cousins Electric for making the repairs needed to keep this witness to Christ shining brightly in our community. Not only did he repair the electrical issues but also also trimmed the trees that blocked the view. We are grateful to Rob for helping us keep the cross lit.
