Ecumenical Worship Services
Each year AVAC holds four community worship services. All services are interdenominational and welcome participation from all Christians.
- Community Good Friday Service – Held annually at Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, PA from noon – 3 pm.
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Service – The 2025 service will be held at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church in Natrona Heights . The Rev. Diane Curry Randolph, pastor of Freeport, Grace, and Trinity United Methodist Churchesl District will be our speaker. All donations through the free will offering are used for scholarships to assist students further their education.
- Festival of Faith – Last year’s festival was be held on October 27th at Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lower Burrell at 7:00 pm. Choirs and musical groups from AVAC member churches provided the music. Our guest speaker was Pastor Robert J. Henry, President of AVAC. Plans for this year’s festival are underway.
- National Day of Prayer – National Day of Prayer is an annual observance day which is observed on the first Thursday in the month of May. On this day, Americans are encouraged to give thanks and to turn to God in prayer and peaceful meditation. Last year’s service was held at Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church.
