The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, provided by the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches, offers free income tax preparation, by appointment, for both individuals and families. There are several day and time options to accommodate most any schedule. If your annual household income is at or below $45,000 we can help.
AVAC is a partner in the Money In Your Pocket Coalition- a group of nonprofit and government agencies in Pittsburgh, PA who offer free tax preparation and financial education services for hardworking residents in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties. That’s right, free. No fees. No service charges. No interest.
Volunteers are needed! If you can do your own taxes using simple tax software then you can do this. All volunteers are provided with free training and certification.
